Labor and Social Security Information System

The Holistic Architecture and Design

                      Picture 1 System Composition

1.1 System Composition

As is shown in the picture 1, the holistic architecture design includes three major parts:
  • Labor and social security information management system composed by six service systems which are based on the labor and social security public service platform
  •  Labor and social security resources database platform
  • Public interface platform
1.2 Core Architecture Design

1.2.1        Social Insurance Management System

Picture 2 the General Architecture of Social Insurance V.2 Core Platform

In the technical level, the social insurance information management system adopts “core platform V.2” of J2EE system and realizes complete three-level architecture (i.e. service systems and interface systems). In the operation level, the system adopts different levels of the architecture according to different clients’ needs. As for the key service systems and designated medical institutions, the system adopts independent client solution of the “core platform V.2” (i.e. C/S/S)

The design of the middle layer is the key to the entire service system design which adopts the second level mode of the middle ware environment. Social insurance enterprise level application architecture is applied in client adjustment and logical handling of each service module. Social insurance service module is a logical and abstract representation of social insurance service, thus making the service change and new service addition easier. A simple change in the logical module at one level can allow for an entire system new service addition.

1.2.2        Labor and Employment Management System
Picture 3 the General Architecture of Labor 99 V.3 Core Platform

Labor and employment management system adopts the three-level framework of Labor 99 V.3 core platform architecture. The main architecture of the system adopts multi-level application solutions of J2EE standards and further extended its functions according to the labor market features.

In this solution, Web container includes core controller (servlet) and logical Web module specially designed for applications. The application modules in EJB container are to meet the Web layer needs and to visit EIS resources as well. The back end function is separated from the interface used by the clients. The service change and new service addition becomes easier. A simple change in the logical module at one level can allow for an entire system new service addition.

Data Center Design

Being the supportive operation management platform for labor and social security services, the data center is mainly composed of following functional areas: data management area, production area, application access area, decision making area, internal office area, exchange area, public service area, internal business area and system management area.
