The core platform is mainly designed to manage daily handlings of social insurances, including the payment, registry, operation and adjustment of various kinds of insurances (such as pension insurance, medical insurance, industrial injury insurance, female employee maternity insurance and unemployment insurance etc.). The management decision making level service of the platform is specially designed for the managers in social insurances institutions, including social insurance data analysis, macro decision making support, information exchange and service, and administration support. Moreover, the core platform provides a unified external interface, through which any type of social security systems (including the social insurance systems of enterprises, banks, tax, finance, designated medical institutions, designated retail pharmacies, and the labor market) can realize safe and reliable data exchange simply by defining their message formats and function numbers.
 
Basing on the C/S/S three level architecture technology of J2EE platform, the core platform is a further extension in social insurance industry. The foreground of the core platform is Windows client, middle layer is J2EE application server, and the background is Oracle database.
